Basic Life Support is a course offered to healthcare professionals who know to give emergency medical care to victims in any given situation. BLS training gives these professionals basic skills to help a victims sustain their vital signs during cardiac arrest, drowning or choking before they are taken to hospital. The BLS certified professionals are trained to manage the victimís airway, breathing and circulation. They use non-invasive techniques such as CPR and will not involve medicines in order to avoid death or internal damage.
